			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>OK, so I woke up this morning with the intention of going to the gym.  That never happened.  I just didn&#8217;t feel like it and didn&#8217;t make myself go.  Shame on me!  <img src='http://s0.wp.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_sad.gif' alt=':(' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>I did flirt with the idea of working out at home, but that thought left my mind until right now.  Oh well, tomorrow another day.  I did go to the grocery store to get my food for the week.  That was a successful trip.  I feel more confident that I can stick to my eating plan now that I have the food that I need.  I just brought fruit and some frozen diet foods.  The fruit helps to keep me feeling full, and the prepared food is for lunch and/or dinner.  I think it will be dinner since I don&#8217;t like to cook after I leave the gym at night.  I&#8217;ll see how it works out this week. </p>
<p>I&#8217;m excited that I was able to put on my jeans and had some room in them.  In fact I&#8217;m going to wear them tomorrow to celebrate.  Pretty soon, I may be able to reach into the other side of my closet and revisit my old clothes.  I really miss them.  <img src='http://s0.wp.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>Anyway, I&#8217;m happy to say I&#8217;ve stuck this thing out for 2 weeks so far, 86 days to go.</p>

		<description><![CDATA[I just sat here and typed a report on my progress and the freakin thing didn&#8217;t save.  Therefore, I&#8217;ll keep this short. Friday, due to illness, I didn&#8217;t work out. Today, I went to the gym, walked 2.5 miles.   I plan to go again tomorrow, and may try swimming. I&#8217;ll keep you posted. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Today was another good day.  I left the house a little late, but was still able to get in my full workout before going to my job.  It&#8217;s getting easier to talk myself into doing a little more each time.  I was able to jog longer today and it&#8217;s took less time for me to catch my breath.  It&#8217;s a good feeling.  I&#8217;m finally taking control of my health/fitness and I can see myself sticking this out.  I believe the 100 day goal is really helping.  It doesn&#8217;t seem/feel  like a long time, so I am able to convince myself to stay on the plan. </p>
<p>I&#8217;ve made it through 11 days, 89 more to go.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This morning I made myself get up and go to the gym.  I&#8217;m trying to stay in my rountine no matter what else is going on in my life. </p>
<p>The gym was great today.  I actually jogged a little on the treadmill, wheezed a little, and jogged some more.  It&#8217;s not my favorite thing to do, but it gets my heart rate up to where it needs to be.  I&#8217;m slowly working up my stamina so that I can increase the intensity of my workouts.  I would love to be able to jog a whole mile without walking, but that is a little ways off.  I&#8217;m happy with my progress.  So far, I&#8217;ve lost 1.4 pounds and 1 1/2 inches from my waist.  Yeah me!</p>
<p>I&#8217;m still struggling with my food choices.  Salads don&#8217;t sound as good as a BLT w/french fries.  <img src='http://s0.wp.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' />   I have incorporated more fruits in to my diet which is good.  I&#8217;ve realized that I have to make my own food.   It&#8217;s easier to stay on track when I plan out my menu in advance.  I&#8217;ll see if it makes a difference in my weight loss for next week. </p>
<p>I can&#8217;t believe it&#8217;s been 10 days already.  90 more to go.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>It&#8217;s been a few days since I&#8217;ve posted my progress.  I have not been at my best, but I&#8217;m still working towards my goals.   I was on a mini-vacation, but still managed to stay away from the list of forbidden foods.  I plan on adding a few more items to that list as it helps me to remain focused when I&#8217;m tempted.  I&#8217;m on my way to the gym now and will log on tonight with my stats.  I plan on weighing myself and taking my measurements.  I don&#8217;t expect big numbers, but a pound or two would be encouraging.  <img src='http://s0.wp.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' />  </p>
<p>My goal this week it to walk 2 miles a day.  I&#8217;m sure I can make that happen.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>OK, as you can tell from the title of this blog, something went a little wrong today.  I&#8217;ve been sticking to my plan for healthy eating and exercise as closely as possible.  I don&#8217;t claim to be perfect, but I have been doing pretty well so far.  Normally I have an insatiable sweet tooth so I&#8217;ve been trying to cut sugar/sweets in order to ween myself.   I&#8217;ve told my friends/family/co-workers of my journey and what I&#8217;m trying to do.  Well today, one of my wonderful co-workers brought me a box of Eating Right granola bars.  I must say that it&#8217;s the most delicious granola bar I&#8217;ve ever had in my life!  They are 100 calories and I thought a nice addition to my diet.  That was until a few hours later when I had eaten 4 out of the  6 bars!  The only reason I was able to stop at 4 is because I had given 2 away to other co-workers.  It was then I realized that I was set up.  I saw 100 calories, granola/raspberry and thought this must be healthy.  What I ended up doing was triggering my hunger for sweets and spent the rest of the day trying to stop the food cravings.   It&#8217;s clear that my self control needs a lot of work.  It&#8217;s part of this journey and something I need to conquer in order to be successful.</p>
<p>So, I&#8217;ve added 100 calorie granola bars to the list of food I will need to give up.  I went to the gym after work and stayed long enough to negate my granola bar binge.  I still feel good about my progress and realize that things happen, and tomorrow is another day to do better.</p>

<p>I did have weak moment at lunch.  One of my friends had brownies and before I knew it, the &#8220;Ooh let me have one&#8221;, automatically came out of my mouth.  Just  that fast, my love of sweets over rode my good intentions.   It&#8217;s a good thing she reminded me that I&#8217;m not supposed to be eating that stuff.  I still wanted that brownie, but I made it through the day without it.  Little Debbie will have to find another victim, at least for now.  <img src='http://s0.wp.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>It&#8217;s been 3 days since I&#8217;ve had cake.  97 Days to go.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I think I may have been a little  enthusiastic yesterday because I woke up this morning in a world of pain.  It was a struggle to get out of bed, but eventually I stopped hitting the snooze button and got myself together. I called Leah to make sure she got her day started.  Misery loves company.</p>
<p>I arrived at the gym a little after 7 and it was uncrowded which is always a good thing.  I got on the treadmill 45 minutes and the stationary bike for 10 and felt a whole lot better. I went off to work feeling proud of myself for working out 2 days in a row.</p>
<p>Well that feeling didn&#8217;t last long. Right now I&#8217;m hurting all over.  I guess that&#8217;s a good thing?  No pain no gain right.  I took the night off, I may go and play my Wii, then again my body may not cooperate.  I&#8217;m fixing dinner now and feel too tired to eat .</p>
<p>I&#8217;m looking forward to the end of this journey.  The time can&#8217;t pass soon enough for me.  I&#8217;ll leave this blog on a positive note.</p>

<p>Hi, My name is Kia.  I&#8217;m 30 something and in the worst physical shape of my life.  For the next 100 days, me and at least two of my friends are on a mission to improve our health and physical fitness.  I will be signing in (hopefully daily) to let you know how I&#8217;m doing.</p>

<p><strong>Day 1</strong></p>
<p>Woke up at 6 am and called Leah.  She sounded nice and cheery, I&#8217;m barely awake.  I&#8217;m in no way a morning person. In fact I don&#8217;t think I&#8217;m fully awake until about 12pm.  I rolled out of bed and got myself ready to go to the gym.  I arrived at the gym around 7 and jumped on the treadmill.    Surpisingly, I was shocked I was able to do 2 miles without killing myself.  In fact I feel so good right now, I may go back tonight.  I&#8217;m heading off to work, but just wanted to keep you posted that so far I&#8217;m doing alright.  <img src='http://s0.wp.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>**Just got home from my second visit to the gym today.  GO ME!  <img src='http://s0.wp.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' />   I&#8217;m so tired, but proud of myself at the sametime.  I stuck to my diet and workout plan for today, so only 99 more to go.</p>
